Nymboida River Riparian

We are excited to share that OzFish Unlimited has been awarded a grant from the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife .

The purpose is to provide funds to support restoration activities in the Local Government Areas (LGA’s) listed as impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires.

The grant will be used to Regenerate & revegetate 3 hectares along the riparian banks of Nymboida River NSW.
This project will have a positive impact on the biodiversity of the site, supporting both aquatic creatures including the Endangered Eastern Freshwater Cod, Platypus and our ground dwelling wildlife.
As part of this project, we have 12 volunteers from OzFish, Landcare, Friends of the Koalas, Biodiversity Doctor Australia and local landholders assisting in the restoration and regeneration by removing exotic weeds, fencing the riparian and planting 1000 native trees.

The Bushfire Restoration Grant is managed by the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife with funding from @GlobalGiving.
