The Foundation is an independent charitable organisation and is committed to the following principles when carrying out its activities:

• A non-controversial and a-political organisation
• Funds are directed only to projects that have a tangible conservation outcome for Australia's natural and cultural heritage
• 100% of donor funding to a specific project is spent on that project
• All donations over $2 all tax deductible and therefore tax receipts are provided for each donation
• Administration costs are kept low to maximise funds directed to conservation programs
• We do not employ external fundraising agencies
• We respect donors rights and privacy and do not publish personal details without approval
• We aim to respond to supporter / customer needs as soon as practicably possible
• As a member of Philanthropy Australia, we respect and are guided by its Codes of Ethics
