Which animals are threatened?

Make a splash for water creatures!

Just like you, all animals and plants need water to survive. But some animals not only drink it, they live in it. Rivers and streams, swamps and wetlands and our oceans and beaches are home to hundreds of creatures from the huge Blue Whale to a tiny shrimp.

Many of these species are threatened - why not pick one of them for your drawing? The top 600 pictures of aquatic animals will be on display at the Australian National Maritime Museum.

Here's a list of some of these threatened species, but there are many more! Go on an expedition to find them in books or on the Internet.
